Junior Delano Tigers 3rd & 4th Grade Flag Football
The purpose of the program will be to teach third and fourth grade students about the game of football and encourage a fun activity to develop their interest in the sport. The 3rd and 4th Grade Flag Football program is seeking parent volunteers to coach in order to make the program successful. We are asking parents to consider volunteering, no matter your background with the sport of football. Without enough volunteers, participation in the program may be limited on a first come, first serve basis. Delano Tigers 5th & 6th Grade Tackle Football
Delano Community Education, with support from the Delano Lions Club, will be offering a youth football program for the 5th and 6th grade students in the Delano area. The purpose of the program will be to teach fifth and sixth grade students to have fun playing football, develop interest in the sport, and learn the basic fundamentals of the game. Football provides a forum for children to develop respect for oneself and others, build self-esteem, develop physical skills, and experience a metaphoric environment that teaches life lessons and skills.

Delano will again be playing in the WCHS Youth Football League this Fall. Games for this league will be played on Saturdays at various locations depending on the schedule.
Important Dates:
  • August 21: Registration Deadline
  • August 22: Mandatory Coach’s Meeting, 6:00p at HS Media Center
  • August 23: Pants fitting (One time only!), 5:30 - 7:00p at Tiger Activity Center
  • August 24: Equipment hand-out, 5:30 - 7:00p at Community Ed Center Basement
  • August 29: First Practice, 6:30 - 8:00p at Practice FB Field
  • September 7: First Team practice, 6:00 - 7:30p at City Field #9
Registration deadline: Monday, August 21
Registration Fee: $90 for District 879 residents; $110 for Non-district residents
Equipment Deposit: $150 (a separate check) Community Education will hold the check and not deposit it as long as the equipment is returned in good condition by Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
